About Us
Are you at FIU or a young professional in Miami under 30? FIU is re-launching Rotaract at FIU to promote global service and education, and professional development.
Rotaract is an affiliate of Rotary International for the 18-30 age group. Just like Rotary, it is driven by the motto of “service above self” and is known for its commitment to global service and education. As the organization is for college students and persons under 30, professional development is also at the core of Rotaract. Rotaract at FIU will provide professional networking in all fields, scholarship, internship, and study abroad opportunities. In the last three years, Rotary has awarded $150,000 to five FIU students to study abroad. These five students will be among the founding member of Rotaract at FIU.
Rotaract at FIU shares a commitment to promote the six areas of focus of Rotary International that reflect critical humanitarian issues and needs that Rotarians are addressing worldwide. They include peace and conflict resolution, disease prevention and treatment, water and sanitation, maternal and child health, basic education and literacy, and economic and community development. All majors and interests are invited to join Rotaract at FIU.
